Welcome to the Hascombe Parish website

The Parish Council has developed this website in order to provide information about the village and the work of the Parish Council. We hope that it will become a valuable source of information and will help you to become involved in a wide range of village activities. We welcome your comments and suggestions and are pleased to include news and information concerning the village and surrounding area. If you have any suggestions for additional information please let us know by emailing clerk@hascombeparishcouncil.co.uk.

Hascombe is a small village with a population of  307 in the 2011 census, enjoying a picturesque location in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village benefits from a newly-built Village Hall, Recreation Ground and Cricket Pitch and the White Horse public house offers a warm welcome and excellent food. The village church, St Peter’s, is a Victorian gem and one of Simon Jenkins’ 1000 Best Churches.

DUNSFOLD SHOP DELIVERY SERVICE FOR PEOPLE SELF-ISOLATING IN DUNSFOLD AND HASCOMBE

In the coming days and weeks there may be many people in our community who will have to self-isolate. If you are self-isolating you may need some help to have essential groceries and household items brought to your home and left on your doorstep.

If you are unable to obtain groceries from any other source, Dunsfold Village Shop has set up a ‘Doorstep Drop Delivery Service’ which will be coordinated by the Shop team. Deliveries will be made by a great group of volunteers from Hascombe, Loxhill and Dunsfold. It may also be possible for friends, family and neighbours to collect what you need from the Shop. If you wish to volunteer to help with deliveries or help out in any other way, please contact Karen Thurston on 01483 200543 or email karen@parkhatch.com.

This service will be dependent on maintaining good stock levels and having enough staff and volunteers to remain open in the coming weeks, but we will do our best to rise to the challenge. Which brings us to make a request – please limit what you buy to what you and your family actually need. The major supermarkets are already rationing items in order to control stock levels.

Please contact the Shop on 01483 200246 and speak to us with any questions you may have. If the telephone line is busy, please bear with us.

In Hascombe , should you need anything collected from a pharmacy or have other urgent needs, or shopping requests, please phone one of the numbers below and we will do our best to help.

The community helpline has been set up to direct residents to services that can help during the coronavirus pandemic:

To help direct residents to services that can help provide support to those who need it, such as picking up shopping, prescription collections or having someone who can be a telephone friend.

To provide advice on where to register your offer of help to support your community

The helpline will not be able to provide any public health advice (please use existing services such as NHS 111) or answer general enquiries relating to council services.
